Uses of Cargo Net Sling
A cargo net sling is made of nylon straps weaved together in a criss-cross pattern and forms a 12 foot square or 14 foot square net. Steel rings are sown at the 4 corners of the net which is used to connect to the pickup hoist.
Cargo Net Sling is used on the following:
- Cargo Nets are used aboard Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ships for underway replenishment (UNREP) operations support.
- Cargo pallets can be placed in the net and transferred with minimum of loss.
- Cargo net slings are used for handling miscellaneous cargo which is placed direct into the net.
